The Foundation for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is the promotion of excellence in plastic surgery through professional and public education. The Foundation seeks to inform the public about reconstructive surgery available today and works to provide information to medical professionals which will assist them in the overall care of their patients. A strong committment is felt to the fair, and balanced presentation of reconstructive surgical procedures and their limitations.

Foundation efforts are focused in several areas:

  • Creation of educational materials for lay and professional individuals
  • A speakers bureau which provides pro bono lecturers for lay and professional meetings in the greater New York area
  • A service for patients seeking a qualified surgeon in their geographical area (See Finding a Surgeon)
  • On-line information for all audiences
